The treatment procedure
Our practitioner at Bond Dental can get a thorough understanding of your dental needs and assess your oral condition. If you are a suitable candidate for the treatment, at your initial examination, our team will take digital x-rays of your mouth and photographs of your smile to determine your customised treatment plan. An impression of your teeth will be made to prepare your custom-fit ceramic braces.
At your next appointment, your braces will be fitted.Ceramic braces consist of tooth-coloured brackets and a wire attached to each individual bracket and held in place with rubber ligatures. This mechanism exerts the required pressure to correct the dental problem.
Your subsequent orthodontic appointments will be scheduled every four to six weeks. Your dentist will monitor your progress and tighten the wire to modifythe force required for your teeth adjustment.
On average, the treatment can take between 6 to 24months but will vary depending on your clinical needs and complexity of your case. After the treatment, it is essential to wear a retainer so the teeth remain in their new position.
